Tributes flood in from around the football world in memory of Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was killed in a helicopter crash on Saturday evening.
Leicester City have confirmed that the club’s owner and chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was one of five people tragically killed in a helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.
Mr Srivaddhanaprabha had been in the process of leaving the ground in his private helicopter when it lost control soon after clearing the stadium and crashed in a car park nearby.
Tributes have flooded in from across the football world following the tragedy, which occurred shortly after the team’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United in the Premier League.

West Ham cub statement: “The thoughts of everyone at West Ham United are with the directors, players, staff, supporters and all connected with Leicester City Football Club following the devastating events at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.
“We would like to send our sincere condolences to the family of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha at this sad and tragic time. His immense contribution to Leicester City FC, the city of Leicester and English football will never be forgotten. Our condolences also go to the other families affected by the tragedy.
“We would also like to express our admiration for the emergency services who responded so swiftly and with such bravery, and offer our support to anyone, including any West Ham United supporters, who may have witnessed the tragedy. A number of Leicester City players have also paid tribute to their owner, who steered the club to the Premier League title against 5,000-1 odds in 2016.
