Thoroughly enjoyed watching and learning how it was for black players in the late 70’s / early 80’s.
I’d obviously heard things from my old man and others but listening to the players made it all the more, more interesting.
Viv Anderson’s story in which he said he was warming up and stopped after getting abused. Brian Clough, asked him why he’d stopped to which he replied they’re throwing apples, pears and bananas at me. Cloughie said go and get me an apple.
