RB Leipzig are reportedly considering a January approach for Wigan Athletic forward Nick Powell, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
RB Leipzig have reportedly identified Wigan Athletic forward Nick Powell as a potential signing for 2019.
Powell is enjoying a fine campaign with the Championship outfit, with four goals and four assists coming from 16 outings in the second tier of English football.
However, the 24-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the campaign, and the former Manchester United man would not be short of offers should he become a free agent.
According to TEAMtalk, RB Leipzig are ready to hand the playmaker an opportunity to move to the Bundesliga, and could look to strike a pre-contract agreement in January.
Celtic are also said to be in the running to sign Powell, who has played in the EFL since 2015.
