Neil Warnock confirms interest in £25m-rated Nantes striker Emiliano Sala

Neil Warnock confirms Cardiff City’s interest in Nantes striker Emiliano Sala, with reports suggesting that a £25m offer has been tabled.

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has revealed that he is interested in bringing Nantes striker Emiliano Sala to South Wales.

The 70-year-old, prioritising the signing of a goalscorer in January, was in attendance for the French club’s 3-2 win over Marseille on Wednesday night.

Warnock has confirmed press reports that Sala was the player he was watching up close in midweek, along with Marseille full-back Abdoulaye Toure, and the Daily Mail suggests that a £25m offer has now been tabled for the former.

Sala has netted 13 league goals already this season, seeing him linked with the likes of Fulham, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and West Ham United.

Cardiff are currently without a recognised striker, as Kenneth Zohore, Danny Ward and Gary Madine are all carrying injuries.
